Hematologists are specialists who diagnose and treat disorders of the blood, bone marrow and lymphatic systems. These include anemias, disorders of white blood cells or platelets, aplastic anemia and other bone marrow failures, abnormal clotting and bleeding, Hodgkin's disease and blood malignancies such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, hairy cell leukemia and related problems. Mid Dakota Clinic has a fellowship-trained hematologist on staff. The clinic's state-of-the-art laboratory is an advanced facility for diagnosing blood-related illnesses.

Oncologists study the causes, development and characteristics of cancer in order to provide diagnosis and treatment of tumors. Cancer treatments may include surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, along with nutrition, pain management, physical therapy, counseling and other services. At our cancer care and treatment center, our specialists work as a team to develop a treatment plan that best serves the needs of each patient.
