Diabetes mellitus, is a group of diseases characterized by high blood glucose levels that result from defects in the body's ability to produce and/or use insulin.

Mid Dakota Clinic's Diabetes and Nutrition Center provides a team approach to managing diabetes. A team of Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE) and Licensed Registered Dietitians (LRD) work with you and your physician so you have the most comprehensive care possible.

Most insurance companies will cover diabetes education for people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Ask your doctor for a referral to the Diabetes and Nutrition Center at Mid Dakota Clinic.
