Laura Bukowski, Licensed Registered Dietitian (LRD), recently achieved Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) status from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators by succesfully completing the certification exam for diabetes educators.
Achieving certification status demonstrates to people with diabetes and employers that the health care professional possesses distinct and specialized knowledge, thereby promoting quality of care for people with diabetes.
There are currently over 16,000 diabetes educators who hold NCDBE certification.
