Rhonda Schafer-McLean, MD, PhD
Mid Dakota Clinic is pleased to welcome Rhonda Schafer-McLean, MD, PhD back to the Bismarck area. Dr. Schafer-McLean joins the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at the Mid Dakota Clinic Center for Women at 1000 East Rosser Avenue.
A native of Wilton, ND, Dr. Schafer-McLean received an undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. Following postgraduate work at Texas A&M University and Bismarck State College, she went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Anatomy and Cellular Biology and a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks. Dr. Schafer-McLean completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Colorado in Denver where she received the OB/GYN Teaching Award.
Dr. Schafer-McLean is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, American Medical Association and American Medical Women's Association. Her professional interests include adolescent gynecology, laparoscopic surgery, and pregnancy following bariatric surgery.
