What You Need to Know

Scheduling Your Appointment You can make an appointment by stopping in at any of our locations, or by calling 530-5550, toll-free 877-530-5550. You can also schedule an appointment online.
When scheduling an appointment, please provide us with the general reason for your medical visit and the following information:
• Full name (married and maiden) • Phone number (home and work) • Date of birth • Mailing address • Billing party's name
This information will be requested whenever an appointment is scheduled to ensure speed and accuracy in identifying your medical record.
If your appointment involves special services such as an insurance physical, a Workforce Safety and Insurance (WSI) examination, Veteran's Administration examination, services provided through Social Services or the Public Health Service, please inform the receptionist so that these services can be properly arranged.
If you have been referred to the clinic by another doctor, please let us know so that we may keep the referring doctor informed.
Canceling an Appointment If you must cancel your appointment or will be arriving late, please call us as soon as possible so that another patient may be served during your scheduled time. We strive to reserve adequate time for each patient to ensure quality medical care and minimal waiting time.
Follow-up Visits If you need a follow-up evaluation or treatment, please stop at the reception desk on your way out to schedule your next appointment.
After Hours Clinic For your convenience, we offer an After Hours Clinic with no appointment necessary. The After Hours Clinic is generally staffed by doctors of the Family Medicine department and other specialists in Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine and Internal Medicine. The After Hours Clinic is open at the 9th & Rosser location during these hours:
• Monday-Friday, 6PM to 8PM • Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 9AM to 1PM
The After Hours Clinic is open all holidays except Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Holiday hours may vary from those listed above. Patients at the After Hours Clinic are seen in the order that they arrive, or based on the severity of the medical problem. To reduce waiting time, you may wish to call ahead to inform the staff of the reason for your visit and allow them to prepare for your care. When the Clinic is Closed A team of doctors representing each specialty is in contact with the Mid Dakota Clinic switchboard and answering service 24 hours a day. If you need non-emergency medical care when the clinic is closed, call 530-6000 or toll-free 800-472-2113 for assistance.
Emergencies For a life-threatening emergency, go to the St. Alexius Emergency & Trauma Center at 10th Street and Rosser Avenue or call 911.
