Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, and was previously known as juvenile diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. Only 5% of people with diabetes have this form of the disease.*

Ultrasound Earns Accreditation from AIUM

The ultrasound practice of Mid Dakota Clinic has been awarded accreditation from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine through July 2014. The AIUM is dedicated to advancing the safe and effective use of ultrasound in medicine through professional and public education, research, development of guidelines and accreditation. Welcome Traci Dietz, FNP-BC - Gastroenterology

Traci joined Mid Dakota Clinic in November 2011. She works collaboratively with the doctors of the Gastroenterology department.
A native of Bottineau, ND, Traci received her bachelor’s degree from the Medcenter One College of Nursing, and earned her master’s degree in the family nurse practitioner program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During graduate school, Traci had the opportunity to participate as a research assistant in the field of gerontology, and as a clinical instructor and grader for a community health nursing course for second career students.
